Okay i'll try make this simple...

Was out driving and saw this BA8 for sale for $2.5k right but the catch is that it hasnt been registers for over a year and there is like 1% tread left on the wheels...

Wat i want to know is if i go to register it will the RTA allow me to?

get 4 new wheels plus a spare from wreckers get a blue slip, and make sure its roadworthy before you bring it in for blueslip

Thats the thing.. sittin for a yr cud have many things wrong with it.. hence why it was never bothered to be registered cuz the cost outweighed the benefit.. because if you know dealers pretty much have every one of their cars registered

Yeah but the thing is most of the cars i've looked at have 200000+ kms but this car only has 150xxx. Oh and the owner says that he will replace all tyres. Oh and the car doent have a spare.

Hmm.. I dont know man.. if it only has 150k could be because it is stuffed and so wasn't driven around.. maybe you should just go test it out.. start the car.. and get an inspection report

You need a spare as well, otherwise you won't pass blue slip. There must be no oil leaks too.

Okayish....

Man just from personal experience.. dont rush into buying the 1st car you see for a good price..

I test drove my da9.. ran 'okayish' as you said.. sort of vibrated at idle and smelt wierd..

Took it home after getting it to find it has all sorts of problems.. its really worth the 100-200 to get an inspection check even though its a pain in the ass to do so.. it will save you thousands down the long run..

My car has this oil leak makes the oil go bone dry in 1 week lol.. dont think I can even re-register it til I fix it and who knows how much it could be.. prob thousands if its head leakage etc.. so just take your time and pay that bit more for a good car and not a dodgy one.. you wont make the same mistake as me

Good luck (y)
