Hey guys,
Ive got a 94' Civic Sedan with a D15B4 engine, i use to get around 7-9L/100KM (depending on how i drive), but recently fuel consumption has been 10-13L/100KM. The car is nearly due for service, and im hoping after the service everything will be better.
What are the MAIN reasons for a car to have such bad fuel economy???
What parts should i look at to see if they are functioning properly or not??
Thanks in Advance

im guessing fuel pump/fuel line?

im guessing fuel pump/fuel line?
Actually it could be fuel lines, i just went for a drive to the local shops and had a look around the car, and on the passenger side rear door there is a fuel smell.
I looked under the car didn't see anything, but there is a fuel smell there.

Fuel leak.. check your lines. Obvious reason for bad fuel economy if your loosing fuel on ze ground.. duznt do much there as it does in ur motor

hows your air filter?
go here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67113) & read about resetting your ecu &/or doing a quick code check before resetting.
then go here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69868) & read all about O2 sensors

Thanks for the info guys,
Ill be taking it to my mate to do a service soon and ill make him check the fuel lines and ECU.
CRXer ill check the filter tomorrow morning (as its bloody cold now).
I got another question guys, my car steers to the left when i let go of the steering wheel, so ill be also be getting the wheel alignment checked.
If my wheels aren't aligned will that impact my fuel consumption??
Yup of course. If your wheels aren't aligned properly; it will cause more friction between tyre and the road for long driving you will notice worse fuel consumption. Hope it gets better after servicing :-)

just do the service including fuel filter? check for leaks, also check the tank, diagnose the pump, check lines,
