Gday all :D

Thanks to a post on S2KCA (S2000 Club of America) Forums i succesfully fitted my new Exedy HD Sports Tuff clutch in my s2k at home on jack stands :D

The job took some time as there is alot to take off but all went smoothly :D
I finnished it early this afternoon took the car for a drive to notice a whole new car as i baught it with a slipping clutch 4 months ago lol.

The clutch pedal feels so so so much lighter then stock but upon release it has some force and will take some getting used to :) i also noticed the clutch buzz has gone which is awsome.

the clutch cost me $825 and best of all labour was free :D

Well done. I used the same walk through. It was really easy on a hoist so well done on the ground. That starter motor bolt would suck if the how to did not point where to attack it from!

Kudos for doing it at home on stands.

I did one a few years ago at home on stands and won't be rushing to do it again.

You can't get rid of clutch buzz without replacing the clutch with one that doesn't buzz.

lol do it aus come on <3 :P nah **** it ill just keep telling the idiot who put it in to get rid of the buzz and if its not gone replace the clutch :D woo lol. I asked them to put a clutch in that has no buzz or change whatever parts need changing to not get buzz. But in the end it came with buzz anyway -.- btw why can you only hear buzz in the car but not out?

Dude the buzz is the release bearing that's attatched to the pressure plate. If yours buzzed from the day you had it installed. Then theres a good chance they never replaced your pressure plate or release bearing.

Steve's right, the buzz is the release bearing moving around the fingers of the pressure plate. The clutch plate that would have been installed may possibly be thinner than the original (being button) so the pressure plate fingers may be further apart than factory, therefore the buzz will be there. It's the characteristic of ALL pull type clutches. A buzzless clutch is a new clutch kit with a standard size clutch plate and pressure plate (although all aftermarket pressure plates are the same, and don't let anyone tell you different). It's something to get used to. As long as it doesn't slip your in the clear.
