Is it just me or when you have to refuel, the fuel cap has no place to be held. I have to hold on to the fuel cap with my hands while squeezing the gun.

I thought they would have some form of hook or something on the fuel cap cover.

Any DIY things that can be done for it?

I took the whole cap out and place it somewhere while I pump away. :D

i put it on top of the car where the spoiler holds it.

then again, this is my first car, and the 3rd time i refueled, i drove off without putting the cap back in. realised it when i refueled for the 4th time. went straight to honda to buy a new cap ($34.95)

what???? 34.95??
gggeeeeeezz ... that's freakin' obscene! :thumbdwn:
it's just a crummy-looking plastic cap!

i also leave the cap on the top of the car when i refill. i usually tighten it until it makes a few clicking sound <- make that a habit so i won't forget.

the 05 jazz has a plastic cord with a hook on it. it just clips onto the fuel lid.

god dam! just save you money people... put it on the fuel pump itself... or even on the ground for that matter.. does it really matter if it gets dirty.. and you only have to do it once every week and a half or so.. im sure you guys can manage without having to spend anymore then you have to.

just my thoughts

where?
ill ring a finnish honda dealership and ask, but ill have to make sure that theres no problems with the key, im pretty sure i saw a jap site with guy with a fuel cap with a lock and it had all japanese scrible and part numbers.

i would prefer to ring somewhere in germany cause they are cheaper but dont speak the language, most likely itll be the same amount in euros as it is here in dollars so double really

Actually, when i look at the user manual of Jazz, the picture shows that the fuel cap has a hook (or plastic thingy), which can hang on the fuel lip. But my fuel cap doesn't have that hook! :thumbdwn:

the Honda original things are very expensive! My gf broke one of my wheel cover, and i ask them how much is it, they told me it cost AU$85 each!!

Crazy man, AU$85 can buy 2 set of 4 wheel covers! You know what, the other crazy thing is, i did try to call to Hong Kong Honda service and ask about the price, they told me it cost HK$850+ each (= AU$154 each) ha ha! I cut the telephone line straight away!

with no doubt, you called up DaiCheng HK for a wheel cover is expensive. recokn most Jazz selling in HK are with the VTi-S mag wheels here. so wheel cover is verrrrry rare in HK..~~!! :p
anyways, I scratched the fron left wheel cover to the kerb 3weeks after the car on-road...~haha~ it's so crispy comparing the "aftermarket" cover of my vintage charade... they never crashed into chippys like this honda factory...

Anyway, scratching wheel cover to the kerb is much better than scratching your front spoiler or alloy wheels to the kerb..... I also scratched mine, poor both of us!!
I think it's not worth to get it replaced at $80. No one cares about wheel cover, you better save money for changing alloy wheels.

jefflei

yea~~ $80....worth about one falken 15" rubber already~~
the whole set of "not so famous" branded 15" alloy wheels with rubber are about $700+ ... saving $$ to get a set

That's why i didn't buy it! And i am thinking to buy a normal wheel cover (around $30 for a set of 4) from K-marts or Super Cheap, etc. and then spray it into black in colour. Thus, my car will be in all black!! ha ha! (Black Jazz with tinted window and black wheel cover) :D
