Does anyone know if a 2000mdl set of ITR extractors will fit a B18A engine? I can get the extractors for a decent price, so would I be worth getting them, because I cannot find any other extractors, to fit my Teg.

Cheers,
Clint

Only the first gen Integras ran D series engines. D16A1-3 IIRC.

aussie spec only have d16a3's
a1's are yankee spec i think (basically the same but slightly detuned)

how much are you paying for the ITR header????
i wouldnt pay more than 100$$.
the difference you will feel is very minimal!!!!
i know i did that mod:)
save ur cash and get something better, why do you think ppl upgrade their ITR for???

hmmmmz... the ITR headers are pretty good!!
ive heard instances where people lose power because they've changed their headers. Few friend has used the JAP Spec ITR headers and they could not feel any difference. I'm still running stock ITR headers...and they are going great!

my dc2 vtir ran 102kwatw with ausdm itr header + itr cat + itr muffler + some cold air piping to the stock filter. so i think the itr header isnt too bad.

i am just helping out a friend, and finding options for them, as their car is having some issues with exhaust and suspension. so i am finding out all options in regarding cheapest options to fix the problems, or slightly more expensive aftermarket options.

so i was thinking of giving him my vtir header + cat, and then possibly he can get a cheap cat back made up.

if you look at the xforce catalogue of headers vtec and non vtec headers have different part numbers so i dont think they would be interchangable. Dont go by what the general mob tells you from what they have heard unless they have first hand experience. You should be able to get an X-force item to suit this app

Here are my headders
they are 4 into 1
had to cut the front cross member and remove the front to back one

alot of modifications and had to be reinforced

If they are 4 into 1 headders they will sit about this low and you will have to cut the cross member

I made a skid plate to protect them coz its the lowest point of my car and hits absoultly everything
the skid plate saves me everyday

the cross member was cut and shut with metal plate and has a metal pipe inside it for extra reinforcment

the cross member you are reffering to is just a re-enforcement plate that holds the 4 header "pipes" together right?

in this case, i would assume a vtir header would fit without modifications.

the cross member is the big black metal part of the car that hold the front end of the car together
its the thing that my skid plate bolts onto

Not all b series headers are inter-changeable a a b16a header wont clear the sump, as it is slightly shorter. But a b18 will fit a b16. The main problem with the b18 is that the block is either slightly higher or the sump is slightly bigger, I cant remember which one. I know from experience as I tried to fit a b16 4-2-1 onto my b18a and it couldn’t clear the sump..

I also had a set of 4-1 but honestly they are ridiculously low making lowering and speed humps impossible. I also found that they are useless for ant power under 5000rpm

You Can Get Xforce 4-2-1 Stainless Steel Extractors for about $450, They give quite a descent increase in HP and lookin Fn sweet as well.

Sugesstion = Get some made up???

better than chopping into cross members and so on, many exhaust shops or performance shop should be able to make a pretty decent set up for you guys looking at getting extractors than forcing an DC2 extractors in a LS........

PS: I already have extrators so I wouldn't know what the difference would be between oem and aftermarket..............

thanks for the info skremn. i guess even if i get x-force 4-2-1 header made for b18 from a gsi dc2, it wont fit without modification.

x force 4-2-1 will fit if your remove your front to back cross member
