Hey guys..

When my drivers window got smashed I found 2 loose peices from the window inside the door when I was cleaning out the glass

Now I got a jist of how to replace the window.. is it just simply undoing the window clamps.. sliding the window in and retightening screws and checking for alignment?

If there is any other tips people could tell me that'd be a big help

Now these are 2 loose parts I found at the bottom of the door.. could anybody please tell me what position they go on the door?

I have included a pic of the door so somebody can easily point it out

Thankyou in advance

yes from memory they are the brackets that are mounted on to the glass that connect to the window clamps. Should take you about 10 minutes

where are you getting the new glass from?

if from the wreckers, good chance you wont need those parts.

Just a small tip: Before installing the new glass you will need to have the window half winded so the bracket should be sitting in the tall openning gap on the door so you can slip the glass into the door and tighten the nuts

So its just simply undoing the nuts (they would still be tight cuz the glass was smashed not removed) and sliding new glass in and tightening?

Pretty much, im not sure of the difference between an eg and da9 but should be very similar if not exact.

Assuming you have power windows the bracket that mounts the glass to the winding ladder inside the door should still be there, while those old brackets that u have in the 1st pic should be included on the new glass already when u buy it. So there should be two types of brackets, one on the winding ladder and one on the new glass and both brackets are held together with the nuts that u see in the tall opening of the door where u see the winding ladder in the 2nd pic.

U might be confused about what im talking about now but i think u ll know what im talking about once your in the process of installing the new glass. lol

Thanks man it makes sense.. but how does the bracket that comes with the window attach to the door.. it sorta just has a screw but doesnt look like it screws into anything
