When I want hot air, it will only come out the passenger side vents. Cool/room temp air will come out the drivers side vents. I've messed around with the climate control etc. but still no fix.
Anybody had a similar problem?

Set the air vent selection to headlevel. Then see if there is warm air coming from the driver's side vent. Have you also checked that the climate control dual zone is off?

it wouldn't have been the headlevel thing because hot air was coming out the passenger side dash vents as well. I double checked the dual zone, but I'll check it again tommorow

lol. no.

played with it again today, still cannot get any hot air to come out drivers side vents.
When I put it to 31 or even Hi, I still get quite a cool breeze coming out.
Also I noticed that when I drive, and all climate control/heating/ac etc is off, I can feel hot air coming out the passenger side centre console vent, but cold air coming out the drivers side centre console vent.
I find this very weird, and will be taking it back to honda soon

Yup, if even at Hi it is still blowing cool air, time for a warranty fix.

just an update for anybody elses future reference.
A elec. link between the motor and controls came loose somehow. Simple plug back in and was good to go.
Just an interesting note though, I'm still getting the air coming through the vents when driving, and can only stop it happening by turning on the "recycle air" button.

That's normal. The air intake for fresh air is just below the windscreen at the vented area. So when you are driving, the air is forced into the intake and out through your A/C vents.

As aaron has mentioned.
I've had the problem where i was playing with the dash stereo and didn't realise the plug for the air vent fin was unplugged and i didn't know why the vents wouldn't close upon recycle button being on.
power of dreams - Where was this plug located?

didn't ask, I'm assuming behind the centre console though.

i know that the vent fins (recycle air button) is plugged on the right hand side near the steering column with a brown plug.
might be around on the other side or so, but glad you found your prob. :p
Jonno - maybe your heating element has failed?

It probably is. If it was behind the centre console I cannot see how it could become loose, whereas near the steering column its more exposed to accidental knocks etc.
