Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has every sprayed their eg interior to black before?
If so, can anyone post up pics of their finished results?

Just that I can't stand my grey interior and was wondering if its worth giving it a try?

any advice would be appreciated!

i did it.. i did it section by section though.. takes a long time.. just remove all the plastic trims give them a good wash with that green thing you used to wash your dishes let it completely dry.. and give em a couple coats of paint.. if you want it to be scratch resistant give it 2 - 3 coats of clear afterwards.. for the dash.. it can be done with the dash still on the car but it is ALOT easier to do it with the dash off. just a heads up

what about white???

im more interested in spraying it black but if you finished up with a good result with white i wouldn't mind knowing what process you went through..

any pics of the results rayb3na?

what sort of paint did you use and does it fade after a while?

go to an auto paint shop, get a few cans of Vynil Spray, i sprayed mine 'Satin Black', looks better than the normal dull grey...i used about 3-4 cans for 2 door trims, centre & gear consoles and rear rims...

@ shinta, just make sure u prep it 1st, u can use it on the plastics but you'll needa take off the current glossy coating on them first. i did this by sanding with 800 grit :S:S duno if its the best but it turned out reasonable.

@ raybena, any pics??? i used VHT satinblack vinyl spray on the centre console. turns out nice but i'm paranoid it might chip off or flake.

id suggest AGAINST sanding
sanding vynal will only **** it up
metholated spirits to clean it should do the trick

lol i wouldnt put sandpaper to vinyl. it was to the hard plastic, other ppl have used them scotchbrite scourer thingos instead of sandpaper.

Just picked up a eg dash off a mate that had it sitting in his garage and had no use of it.
I'll be trying it on that before i start spraying my door trims and etc..
keep you updated with pics once im done.
