Get a 3/8" deep drive socket set from Total Tools. My set starts from 8mm up to 17mm.

have you tried using pliers?
please guys NEVER use plies on bolts or nuts ! rounds them quick smart.
Please use a bit of WD40 or similar to loosen the threads from grit - then use a deep 6 (single hex) sided piece for maximum grip.

I got a cheap set of deep sockets from Supercheap.
If you can't find a set elsewhere, have a look there.

ok so i got this real stubborn bolt on one of the heat shields covering the exhaust manifold, tried lubing it and coming back later and using a socket on it. the socket got rounded ..................... tried spanners and all that aswell with extension bars. this little %**$ just wont budge.
any ideas ?
this is insane. its right above the turbo too so all the heat its exposed to has really caked it in.

woo so i let it cake in a bit more and got hex spanner with extension, came off !
so i had to do the same thing for 3 more bolts to get the heat shield off, checked the turbo actuator and there was nothing wrong !
now i gotta keep trying to figure out where this annoying fking rattle is coming from !?!?!??!
