I've been researching around and have found many different types of exhaust but cant make up my mine about which one to get. I just want to know what some of you guys are using and is it quiet enough for everyday driving, mostly to and from uni.
Thanks in advance,
noobie90 :D:D

SEARCH, this has been covered many times.
General consensus for a quite exhaust is custom with 2 hotdog resonators and a small-ish muffler, OR run a twinloop muffler.
You can also find quiet exhaust like the Mugen Twinloop, Fujitsbuo RM01A etc.

What car have you got?
Do you have a budget?
Mugen Twinloop, Spoon Street and Fujitsubo Legalis are all expensive but top quality, and the street exhausts are always more expensive than racing style systems.

from experience twin loop is exactly what you need for a quiet exhaust. in low rpm they are only slightly more noticable to stock.

hmms the only thing i know thats quiet is the twinloop, but with no money constraints, what is the best sounded and quietest at the same time? for a dc5r.

I suggest a Spoon street muffler. I have the axle back muffler on my DC2 stock exhaust only, and it sounds nice, friends say it sounds a little louder than Type R exhaust and deeper tone.

X-Force twin loop sounds like a fart up high. Dont forget guys, your car sound very diffrent from the outside.

I know this has no relevance, but your sig made me crack up at 2am in the morning.
My S12 is perfect IMO... no tinny watso ever even in vtec... but if you don't like.. vibrant muffler is pretty good. but I don't know how quiet you want it.

keep the stock exahust and put a good intake on it ... that way ur car sounds awsome but u dont have to worry about ending up with shitty fart sounds from cheap exhausts or shell out for a mugen system for a car u only drive to work
CAI > exhaust - for sound
