I am after a set of RE001 205/50/15 and the cheapest quote I've got is $175 fitted and balanced. Anyone know where I can get these tyres cheaper? either in Melb or Syd. Also was wondering if anyone has found a decent price for the Advan AD07?
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

lol.. i have re001's and they have nothing on the ad07's.. simply because the ad07 has better wet grip.
fyi ad07's are the oem tyre for evo 9s if you wanna use that as a simple indication for performance.

last time i saw 15's.. can't remember profile they were like $190-$210ea.
i'd get them if i could affrod them or if my car can fully utilise them.. which it can't lol.
it's a learning thing. most people when they get cars from when they first get their p's they just get the cheapest tyres possible that sound great on paper like nankang-ns11s and falken ziex 326, etc.. then start moving up in the ranks till you reach something like an ad07 or re01r and you think... how i could i have driven all my life without these lol.
thought the ad07 was discontinued for the ad08?
probably are.. i enquired about them last approx 2yrs ago:thumbsup:

AD07's are oem on the Ralliart Colt, the Evo 9's came with A046

that sounds like the price for 195/55/15, not 205/50/15.
even if u shop around, i doubt u'd be getting anything significantly cheaper.

advan ad07, simply a great tyre. as said, in the wet they are pretty good.
if you could afford them, i'd go the ad07

when they had the special a couple of months back the 195/55/15 were obvioussly 119ea but the week after i rang and the price varied between 165-185... bastards....
i do have a major gripe with re001's though which i'll post in a seperate thread tonight.... when you guys notice this you'll realise how huge a let down and mistake it is for bridgestone

well my main question was how much are people paying for the tyres?

If you are after very good street performance, RE001 is bang for your bucks (I paid $160 for 205/55 R16). AD07 will have more grip but is more expensive. But if you are after grip, then go AD07 or RE01R instead.

Do you mind me asking where abouts in Sydney you brought these from?
Cheapest price I have been quoted is $183 each fitted and balance w/o NerMA membership.
