Hey guys,

just a quick question, i noe its noob but, my ek got a b16 transplant, originally it was a ek1 wit d16y4,
but now since the transplant it has a cai short ram, would i need to replace it to stock air filter to get blue slip?
also i got a full exhaust system from the headers and car is pretty low, do i need to change all that before i can get the engine blueslip?
and how much is the blue slip anyways?
also if you guys noe a good place where i can my blue slip done would be appreciatted
im located in cabra area

there is a place in mount pritchard, on Cabramatta Rd. Its at the back of the Ampol servo opposite to ALDI. The guy there did my blueslip without too much issues.

I'd put it as stock as possible before doing it

Don't you need to get it engineered 1st for the B16 transplant or is that what you mean?

Yes I believe so :(

However, because a couple of versions of the AUD delivered EK did have the B16 in it, your car would have to comply to that, the AUD VTIR EK Civic :D

Did you upgrade brakes/anything else in the process?

nop just engine swap.

an engineer would tell you to upgrade the brakes most definitely.

Good luck with getting that through. I'm curious to know how you go when you get it done, let me know!

As others have said.. most engineers will say increased power by swapping engine will mean you have to upgrade brakes and possibly some other things. Check RTA guidelines on engine swaps for further reference

Your sedan still needs to match and AUD delivered one with that engine in it. I know there were 2 Hatch AUD delivered variants of the EK with the B16 in it. Was there an AUD EK sedan with the B16 in it? Anyone?

why does your car need blue slip rtn? , depends who you go to, not a lot of people to it dodgy most of them do it 90-100% properly its not worth loosing their ticket over them things, cause rta and copper and easily chase it up these days,
