Hey guys, Who knows what kind of well branded buckets seats that can fit AP1? I've tried some and i cant close the door with coz of the bolsters and some are just to fat to move the seats forward lol

I've tried Recaro SR3's and SCUSS or whatever so far :(

Looking into Bride but unable to trial fit as no one left in Canberra i can borrow some off to try on!

Thanks in advance y0!

Bride low max Gias will fit, I not 100% sure if SPG's the shoulder part will clear the door though.

Low max is a type...
basicly Duy you need a fixed bucket seat - no hektik lean y0!

Some that can fit are sparco torino? etc..

Go for Bride Vios / Zeta... in red - no less

Get a 1 piece bucket :) no point getting an adjustable there's not much room to adjust anyway.

Spg looks sweet but does rub the door.

most of the size S seats will fit no problems but L seats have abit of problems with the door :)

Sif try sr3 in a s2000 thats horrid!

I've got an OMP-WRC Carbon/Kevlar fixed back in mine. Fixed back, on custom mounts and it was an absolute bastard to get to fit, and it only misses the door trim by 2mm and the base is touching the floor pan. However it's unreal to drive in.

I'm with vyets on this one, there's heaps better than sr3's.

Your kidding yeah, in sydney Bride seats are like a@#holes, every jap modded car has them. I'm over them and you need to be 5 foot nothing to shoehorn into them.

Yea heaps of brides around here too. Still rare to find a 1 piece bucket but. Most of them are Reclineable Ergo/Brix
Recaro ftw!

I've sat in a Gias before, not as comfortable as my mates Zeta or my Recaro.

Oh! i cbf making new thread.. seems like a waste lol.

Any DIY's here for installing intake snorkel to OEM airbox? i got one but haven't gotten around to installing it haha, only painted it and sanded the inside of it so its clean so far...

abit tazed to try a one off install, afraid i might stuff something up, so far i've had a quick look, need to take the stock cooling plate thingo and then drill two holes into the snorkle at the air box end?

why else would u bother? They are hard to get into, uncomftable, and you look like a tool getting out of one.

But some people do get it just for looks. As for me I just can't see the point of forking out 1k+ for a passenger seat when I'm not going to even sit in it.
Or you can visit autobarn and get some Monza bucket seats which is about as effective as a park bench lol

Bride are not adr approved...When you buy a sparco seat they come with a adr sticker so all will be good...Fia mean nothing on the road....only good for the track..go figure A FIA seat is enigneered for top race teams to race with but someone says it no good for the road without a adr approval

JAP-S2K
21-06-2009, 08:25 PM
Most seats are not adr approved, i didn't sparco were either, i know Velo are for sure. However it depends on the cop, 9/10 they don't say shit. The one that wants to defect you for a race seat, will even if it has an adr sticker on it.

Recaro's are the bomb. Note where's the seat belt clip into????? I had the same problem.

Dart

you have to make room between the seat and the center consol its tight but you get use to getting your hand in there to do your set belt up..the buckle attaches to the seat rail

I got mine to fit in there, seat just misses door trim and centre console door doesn't open easily either, it's a bastard to clip in seat belt, a bastard to get in and out of. But it's awesome to drive in. The +'s out weigh the -'s.

Nice looking seat, but quite pricey. Yahoo JP has a couple for sale but none are ever the same colour.
