heey,
originally the registration sticker is on the little piece of window next to the rear windows of my euro.
Im planning to get tint in the near future, this is my dilemma. If i stick the new registration sticker there it would need to be removed in order to tint the window losing the original stickiness.
Where have you stuck your registration sticker lol? under the anti-glare strip on your windscreen or anywhere else.

in nsw, it's optional whether you want to put it on the front windscreen, or the rear passenger window..
i guess you're not from sydney eh ?

Yeah in Sydney it needs to be on the left hand side of the car.
i would stick it back where the other one is "rear passenger"
but i dont want to have to take it off to get my tint done. The sticker might get all crappy and wont be as sticky with the hectic peeling look lol.

Just peel it off slowly taking care not to stretch the sticker.. and stick it onto some hard plastic surface when its off the car.. it should stick back on fine with maybe a tiny 1mm peeling off the corner where you used your finger nail.

get a hair dryer, heat it up so the glue becomes soft, take it off, and get it back on wherever u want it,
as long as the glue is melted so to speak, its fine

just checked my rego papers at top of papers it says
"... stick it on to the inside of the windscreen or on a fixed glass panel on the left hand side of the vehicle and smooth out to the edges. The details are not to be obscured - DO NOT stick the label to antiglare film or to the tinted section of the glass"
hope that clears up the positioning of the rego sticker

Use a label remover razor and take the rego off. The tint shop will be able to do that without losing the stickyness. When I had to get the windscreen replaced, the repairer used the razor, took it off and then put it back onto the new window. The sticker did not peel or fall off on the new windscreen.

why so hard?
just take it off, then clean the residue, just put sticky tape around the corner to stick it back to the windscreen.. or you can put it in a pocket like the car in Malaysia..

Sticky tape adhesive hardens and the UV from the sunlight causes the tape backing to break down.

I would recommend:
1. Go to the RTA and ask for another rego sticker - doesnt cost anything and if they ask why just say your original one fell off
2. stick your new rego sticker on the left hand side of your windscreen. top or bottom whatever turns you on. but since you have the antiglare on top, stick it at the bottom
3. remove old rego sticker peeling carefully at the corners or using a sharp razor blade, metho or thinners or nail polish remover for the sticky bits
4. get your windows tinted!
5. step back and admire your handywork. you've completed rego sticker diy out of the way of your fresh tint!
