hey guys,
first of all - please excuse my ignorance as im not very car tech-savvy.
i looked underneath of my car today and it seems that there is this black plastic thing bent forwards. its probably because last week my mrs reversed the car out of the drive way and it hit the ground and heard a scraping noise.
cant take photos as the car is too low. anyone able to provide a photo so i can conclude what part of the car is screwed. or anyone might know what it is?
regards,
duck

It's probably the splash guard.. however as above you are gonna need to tell us the model.

if you're talking about the plastic guard,,, under the front bar and thats hanging down.. i recommend to either fix it... remove it... replace it..... last time in NZ.. it got hooked on to something and was bending my whole front bar in half.. only reason i didnt snap it was because.. i saw it in the window reflection of the shop lol

It's basically a giant splashguard/dirt deflector for the engine to deflect water/dirt from underneath the car.
Alot of people remove it without any problems, when I lowered my car it scraped a LOT and annoyed me so I just removed it.

like everyone above me has said, it has got to be the splash guard. its easily removable by several bolts. you have to lift the car up enough for you to get under it though.

Mine used to drag along the road, eventually it just ground off so it doesn't hang down or scrape lol. Try just tucking it back up somewhere, there'll be a spot, if not, zipties.
