dc2r titanium gear knob

i just got a dc2r titanium gear knob for my em1.

i cant twist it all the way down, it still shows the screw lines.
does this mean i need a washer?

could dremel a few pitches off the shift stick, would drop it prob 5mm

Easiest to put a cable tie underneath the shiftboot so that it is held up against the knob to hide the thread.

thanks for the tip, but i dont like the look of the shift boot all the way up to the gear knob. makes it look weird.
