I'm looking at buying this Phoenix Gold RSDc 102 /104 10" Competition Sub.

Click link below to look at specs
http://www.rodinaudio.com/pgMobile/pdf/radialSD/subwoofers.pdf

I'm more concerned with the impedance coz the:
RSdC 102 is 2/2 ohms
and the
RSdC 104 model is 4/4 ohms

I currently have a Soundstream 2 channel Mono Class A Amp with the following specs:

2 x 25W @ 4 ohms
2 x 100W @ 2 ohms
2 x 250W @ 1 ohm
2 x 500W @ ½ ohm
2 x 500W @ ¼ ohm

1 x 200W @ 4 ohms bridged
1 x 500W @ 2 ohms bridged
1 x 1000W @ 1 ohm bridged
1 x 1000W @ ½ ohm bridged
Fuse: 80A Maxi-Fuse

Which sub model, the 102 or 104, would be more suitable with my current amp?

Your help would be appreciated.

id go the dvc 4ohm (104) assuming this is for a daily setup and you only plan one running one single sub. wire it in parallel and run it at 2ohms.

Yeah I'm going to be running 1 sub and its gonna be a daily set up.
Will I need a capacitor and 4ga wires as well? Or will 8ga wires be fine?

no need for a cap. 8awg will be fine in your case.

if money isnt an issue and you can arrange a good setup include these:

Alpine:

- 6.5" 2-way components all round (type-X) incredible!
- 10" type-X sub
- Pdx 1000.1 for sub
- Pdx multichannel amps for speakers.

should be sounding good :p
