my cars a b18c sir-g which is the vtir version in japan, but it is a p73 ecu not sure if its off a type r or not. i will have a look at that definatly, cheers :)

P.S if anyone has any more advice, it is sparking when cranking over, just no fuel.

put the old ecu back in and see if it fires

Then narrow down the problem

if your motor has the original dual stage intake manifold the P73 wont run the IAB's in the intake manifold,u will need a P72 to do it or a chipped & IAB enabled OBD1 ecu.

lol

remove the immo from your ecu

benson - old ecu still fires it up
CRXer - so your saying the ecu wont run my engine at all?
ECU-MAN - checked out your diy, trying it tomorow

the P73 will work on your motor,it just wont be optimal for it,since its calibrated to run a vastly different motor. honda spent lots of money tuning a P72 ecu to suit your motor, why not use it?

like i said the biggest problem u have is with the intake manifold,if its the original dual stage manifold, the P73 has no output to change the IAB's in the manifold, the P72 does.

ECU-MAN:
does this mean that for every single B18C sir-g put into an EG, the immobiliser
will need to removed from the ECU in order for the engine to fire up?

yes all non JDM ECU's for B18C need to have the immo removed

so if its a JDM B18C with a JDM P72, should this be no problems?

It's not about the motor anymore. It's more of the ECU. UKDM/USDM/AUDM immobilisers are embeded in the ECU. Correct me if I'm wrong. JDM ECUs usually has no immobiliser in there.
