Hi Guys,

Need some help here,
ive got a ek with jap spec b16 in it,
and ive noticed whenever i come to a complete stop the cars reving up and down like from 1000rpm to 3000rpm and keeps dropping up and down,
ive checked the oil level and seems to be fine,
checked all fluids and all seem to be okay.
also the engine has internal work done to it, could that be the problem?
im not quite sure what internal work has been done but its not a standard b16 as the cars quite fast

U will need to clean the IACV out on the Throttle body and adjust the FITV:

check vacuum hoses? what beeza suggested could be the main problem because your car is idle/rev hunting.

No,it should always idle stable. When cold it will idle higher until it warms up,then it drop to 900rpm or so.

You need to adjust the FITV:

With the Throttle body on the car, open up the FITV.You will need to stick a flat head screwdriver in there to turn/adjust the FITV until the idle is fine. You will need a mirror to see in there.

The revs are spike-ing/surging upwards then dropping back down repeatedly.
