just want to gauge peoples opinions on bringing back the featured rides articles. would you all want to see this happening again?
also, we may need your help as well with some photography; would any of you be interested in doing some shots for it? the work would have to be free though.

i'll probably try and take on the responsibility of it all but i dont plan on doing it monthly but here and there, just to keep everyone on their toes.
the feature rides may not necessarily mean full-modded cars, i may just pick cars that have minimal mods but are tastefully done.

i think its a good idea , but the problem lies with all the keyboard warriors because people are getting bagged just asking questions and mentioning they have certain parts / mods on there car if people are going to proceed with this propsed idea and otheres are genuinley interested and can keep there trap closed than this will be nice....

Who dont people write their own stuff on their ride.. take their own pics.. and submit them in a certain format? There should be certain things that are required etc and if they are not met it wil not be featured. I know it will cause problems as to who is and who isn't being published but why not show everyones, but then have a 'special feature' of only one car? That way there is little to no work involved for mods?

Should be a single vote IMO so the majority of the ozhonda members get to see what they want as you stated jdm >rice
I'm sure admins and the mods want to serve the greater population and understand you can't make everyone happy. theres no point in having a feature that the majority of the forum dislikes as the majority's view is always worth more than the minority.

otherwise what about others who like OEM? USDM? BOMBSPEC?

Should be a vote. admin team knows that you cant make everyone happy in regards to decision making regardless so its best to make the majority happy. You dont see sub categories for best lookin car at autosalon lol.

Personally i like OEM but i'm not gonna go out of my way to impose on the majority's view.

ozhondas feature rides should be vote driven and not specific to styles.

someone said anything honda/acura/vtec related only would be good? I agree with this as it would be cool to see some nice conversions using honda engines...i dont really think anyone has done a trueno/f20c? rx7/f20c? getz/b18cr?..... but would be cool to see (in australia that is, i know overseas some nice conversions have been done)

i have a suggestion though, once the first one comes back i think it would be good that if an owner wants to do his own feature and make it flow with the usual template + do their own photography then it should be allowed?.... they can then submit it to joyride and he can keep it on file? and just use it when needed, then we dont have to look at the same car for 3 months

would save some work and there are people here who i think could do their own features...

no worries man.... i was just suggesting it... i dont think it would be a build thread as it would show a finished car (or even whatever stage its up to, so basically a snapshot of where the car is up till that stage)...

i was just suggesting that so it wouldnt be so much work for the moderator/s involved...

and personally i would like to see a different car every couple of weeks or once a month (which is why i suggested delegating some of the work)... 3 months is too long i reckon, its like when they forget to change the calendar pic, i dont even pay attention to it anymore because theres times that its been the same pic for months on end... you wouldnt really want people overlooking the feature thus overlooking the work that has been done to put it together

anyways, looking forward to when this gets up and running.... :thumbsup:

hey denot, the 'brutual' comments; do you mean other peoples comments? i havent looked at rein's feature ride comments yet but if you dont want to see particular members comments, you can put them on an ignore list (in your CP) so you dont ever have to read any of their comments forever...

also, i'm halfway through 2 more feature rides. should be done in August. stay tuned.
