So my right headlight 100% doesn't work.

Last time I changed the bulb the plug was basically disintegrated due to water.

Is this an auto electrician thing to swap a new plug into the existing wiring harness? How how/much should I expect to pay?

Thanks

Any honda specialist/mechanic should be able to swap a plug, its as easy as soldering a couple of wires.

What bulbs are you using in your headlights? Ive seen many a plug melt and break due to wrong globes being put in. Water shouldnt make a plastic plug disintergrate..

Hope that helps

Just standard oem h4 or whatever it is. No HIDs or any special bulbs.

Not really disintegrate, but you can tell it's got water damage on the prongs and you can see the connection between the bulb and plug isn't very good.

Just got quoted $65 for it, plus another $20 if the bulb is also damaged (shoudn't be, cos it cuts in/out when I drive).

Is that okay or am I being a tightass

Does anyone know what 'plug' I'll need? I figure my mate and I should be able to solder a new plug into it. Should only be 3 wires.

Question

The $65 are they replacing the wiring from the fuse box or will they solder cut a connect to the existing wiring?

It'll probably be a cut, re solder and new plug. Seems about the right price for a autoelec job.

Itll be just the usual H4. Can get from $20 a pair....maybe less.

Easily fix by anyone handy with side cutters and soldering iron. Can get bits and pieces from, auto1, supercheap and even jaycar maybe.
