when you press the remote button, does the door lock move? can you hear it trying to lock?

u may have a switch that kills the alarm on ur car if its aftermarket or it could be a fuse

blown fuse, wire gone loose, battery dead.
if the key has a light then its not battery on the key.
if the wires gone lose, certain door doesn't lock or flashing headlights and arming sequence is still there.
blown fuse no reaction to key press.

Wires loose is your best bet.
Its probably open circuit somewhere.
Id be guessing it will be near anything that moves. ie. Your door harness.
Its possible that your door actuator wire has broken. Probably got brittle and since your door opens and closes it bends the wire in one position, and over time it just snaps.

fuse is where the installer installed it. most likely underdash under the steering wheel.
but yes best bet is the window has pushed the wires down and snapped them.

The fuze should normally be under the bonnet around the driver side, there should be a table/diagram on the fuse box to tell you what fuse goes where.
If you cant find any relating to lock ect. there should be another fuse box inside your car under your steering wheel somewhere ! hope that helps had to change my fuses recently :)
