i'm identifying the last of the plugs on my loom, and i've come down to these two things. I don't know what they are, and i can't find them in the FSM. Its from an obd0 B-series loom.

on the left is Yellow green, on the right is black.
what are they, what do they do, and where do they go?
thanks CRXer and ECU-Man in advance :) (and everyone else of course)
Where abouts is it located on the loom? Is it up near the dizzy? Water temp and so on?

i don't usually like to bump technical threads, but i'm hopefully going to have the wiring all finished tonight, so any help would be great...

was it a B18A harness, possibly the coolant temp sensor,i think they were up near the oil pressure switch on the B18A.
just plug up the motor quickly with the harness & see what sensors are left that u dont know.

I take it this was in your Ice Cream tub of Plugs...?

Could have been a b18a, i'm not sure. i'll head down to the wreckers to have a look at one, see if i can figure it out. but i followed your advice and did a test fit of the loom, and all sensors are accounted for.
i'm now hindered only by a flat battery. should be able to turn it over on thursday night....
lol, lloyd, when we do your b swap, we'll see where you put all your loose plugs... you'll be screaming for an ice cream tub...

looks like the thermo fan temp switch

Hmm, fair enough...My thermo fans are controlled by a sensor that's at the bottom of my radiator.. which would make sense, cos there's two plugs on that too... The thermo fan switch runs independent to the ecu yeah?

the ECU does have a say inthe fan operation on some model Honda's
what ecu are you going to use ?

yeh thats what it was(i think),that big ugly fan switch on the back of the B18A block.
what plugged into the fan switch on the B16A thermostat housing?,i thought u mention everything plugged up?
dont think the obd0 ecu had fan control,my old PM7 didnt.

Pr3 ecu, the ect hooked up to the thermostat plug... Actually there is a blank plug underneath the vtec solenoid, which I was told was the thermo fan switch...
The original ecu for the d16a3 didn't have any fan control, and I'm pretty sure the system ran independent of the ecu, so it should be the same cae... I'll go home tomorro and review

there u go,
the ect is the 2 wire plug under the vtec solenoid
the thermostat housing is the fan switch
