looking at the bench i have taken the flat bottom out..but i cant see any bolts underneath the seat to un-bolt? the sides of the seats go to either side of the car behind the trim..does the trim need to be removed at all? just to remove seats?

you can remove seats
lift the tap on top of seat so it comes forward
then side the seat as far to the side as possible then remove from clip in the middle bracket holding the seat
should just slide out
do the same as other side

In the centre of the seats, where they both join onto the bracket, there is a plastic clip that sits over the tube. You pull that plastic clip off and the back will slide out, to the right (on the RHS) and to the left (on the LHS). At least that's the way it is on the ED. It may be different on yours but that would only mean that the plastic tabs are on the outside not the inside.
