I dont know how many people have played on Forza Motorsport 2? (xbox or ps3) and decided that the 1.5vti civic doesnt get enough grunt even with every mod possible added to the engine..so you go engine conversion:
- b18 (realistic)
- k20 (realistic)
- s2000 Rwd conversion (does it work?)
So the question is could you make a civic RWD using the s2000 motor and drivtrain? :confused: or has it already been done?
i think it would be cool even if it would be extremely sketchy in the wet :p

you can do anything with $$$ but as being that everything would be custom and a lot of welding and mucking around, i dont think you would have much change left over from 15,000 to setup the floor pan engine mounts diff and custom tailshaft possibly even more. but it would be awesome!! ;)

been done alot overseas, in countries unlike aus where such cars can be regoed lol

Yeah its a bummer about rego..still could be done for the track..although rwd in a hatchback could become an issue in the handling dep

thats on my top 20 list that car :)
straights the v8 civic was made for burnouts in cali :) basically sitting on the bell housing lol
engine ended roughly where the cd player was lol

i think another major problem with a rwd Civic is that there will be no weight in the back an therefore...minimal traction! at least with the clio it has the engine in the rear (one reason why it is more lethal lol)

GTRs have something like 67/33 front to rear bias but no body seems to mind.
FWD's will usually have the engine + gearbox in front of the front axle.
This has the effect of lifting the weight off the rear and on to the front.
Rear weight bias isn't everything in a street driven vehicle.

The rear engine Clio is a freak/homologation special up there with other fantasy cars like RS200, any ferrari etc.
Hardly something to compare with a shopping trolley, aka Honda Civic.

The GTR has AWD. When the rear starts to slip, the front will take up the excess torque, giving it more traction.

Which RS200? Hope you don't mean the Altezza, because that is sort of a shopping trolley/old man's car in Japan. It is not a homologation special or a freak.

You can weld the rear trailing arms together from a ED wagon 4x4 to the rear trailing arms of ED hatches or CRX's, using the rear suspension from an ED wagon 4x4 (knuckles, struts, rotors, callipers).. which bolts straight up! :) .. Run a strengthened ED wagon 4x4 box and pop out the front shafts = drift civic.. its easier than people think.. ED hatches and CRX's have room in the tunnel for a tailshaft and everything.

i think it will be more, u need the s2000 diff, and extreme make over ur floor.
just like the toyota "crazy". put a mr2 engine in a hatch back.
possible, but expensive.
i have done some search on it. was thinking using nsx in a eg hatch, it turns out the engine and everything i needed to do some cost around 30 000.
not including labour.
u could get a s2000,or 2nd hand nsx old model.
