Why do you need to rebuild the motor??

I know of B16a motors that have done upwards of 300,000 kms without any rebuilds and still going strong. I had a B16a motor that did over 200,000 kms and was still running very strong when I sold it.

The bottom end of a B16a is super strong with forged crankshaft etc. If you are staying NA, leave the bottom end OEM. Forget the brand name stuff, just wasting your money.

Just use the Buddy Club or better still EK9 Honda Civic or DC2 Integra Type R camshafts and upgrade the valve springs to Type R ones.

really? b16 bottom can handle up to 300,000 km? anyway, it time for my engine to get overhaul coz the engine not healthy atm plus need to gain more HP ^^

but i might want to upgrade some of my parts (piston, conrod) to forged to handle big HP on the engine because who knw in the future i getting really addicted and crazy with the vtec power and the sweet sound of vtec!!!! (reason of getting eg6)

Being a GTR owner u are no stranger to forced induction, maybe u can follow that path. B18c is a good engine, but i know u wanna keep it 1600. Whats ur budget?

BTW, u sounded surprised to hear that a B16 can still go strong at 300,000ks. I know Nissans can't do that. Welcome to the world of Honda reliablilty!

Well with budget like that i guess it would be better to do a rebuild. I'm just thinking of what i can recommend...
