thats easy have a look at the build plate, mine was aug 08.
by law they have to put this on your order sheet.
I complained as it was a year old. I then rang around a couple of dealers & they told me the same thing. One dealer told me they were expecting one in with a jan 09 in the next month. They all call MY09 even though it's an 08 Build date.
Honda won't acccept new orders until they get rid of old stock. But I suppose with the global recession they have not been selling them & 2 increases this year hasn't helped.
I also asked before I signed how many klms it had on it & they told me 80klms. I told them I wasn't happy about that & they gave me a boot tray which I was happy about as sometimes I go to the nursery & you cannot vaccum the cheap loop carpet. Well it's not carpet it's just carpet pile stuck on a backing sheet.

After i took delivery of the jazz included amongst my paper work was the record of delivery with their check points when they serviced it & their date of receipt of the car was oct 08 with 40,000klms. So that made me feel a bit better, but over the years the most that has been on the clock on a new vehicle has been 20klms.

it's under the bonnet , sorry I haven't opened my bonnet yet and I can't remember where my previous jazz's plate was. It could along the back wall or it could be near the front & some cars have it at the side. it's screwed to the frame so look at all these areas.

But if you are not happy it's a bit late due to the car would be already registered.

Did you ask if was in stock when you purchased it, has it only been a few days since you purchased it or has been longer.

Hi 3riC,

Did you end up buying 2 cars or just 1. I'm curious to know how you went with your price negotiations. Did you end up getting more than $2200 off rrp?

Cheers
