I know of threads covering the usual respray and guttered rims but I have one that is buckled i.e a chunk missing from the lip. I love my rims and would hate to see them go to waste so question is are buckled rims repairable ?
I'll post photos tomorrow it's 2am too dark.

If it is a buckle like a flat spot because you've hit a bit ass pot hole or something then it should be fixable. If there is material missing from the rim somehow then I'd say you'd be lucky.

material missing, hit a kerb on the side so there is a chunk missing from the lip of the dish

basically they re-round the rim to its original spec to get all the kinks out & fill in any parts of the rim that may be missing,

They have a machince which spins the rim similar to a tyre balancing machine but they apply heat and pres a mould into it or some crap like that!

well that's a good start I was thinking maybe it would be impossible. How's the finish like on a remolded rim ? is it nice and round or can you tell a difference ?

seems my only option, that or throw them away but I love them too much. Might as well get some quotes to touch all my rims up at the same time I guess, they all have a few blemishes from 10 years of life.

the place i got mine done at is really well known for their workmanship so i couldnt really tell that any work had been done to the rim once the tyre was put on, although the guy did tell me that it had been worked on previously quite a few times, i bought my rims second hand-FML

well more relieved now, thought it was a lost cause and I would have to scrap my lovely front rims.

I understand ur pain, theres nothing worse than hearing the grind of a gutter on expensive wheels. Good news is... u'll be much more careful next time and u'll learn from your mistake. Avoid the corner space at the carpark, it can be a killer!
Post a pic of ur wheels and i can tell ya if they are able to be fixed. How much are they worth? Usually they can only be refinished properly of its a minor scrape and not a missing chunk.

won't be able to till Tuesday I'm going away for the weekend plus it was done in my garage with minimal space on the left hand side (left front is damaged rim)
Rims aren't worth a terrible amount but still it's one of my favourite rims sprint hart 4x100

Thats ok, post them whe u ready. U sure u can't just replace the wheel? Then you'll have full size spare. I did that with my new Speedys when i scraped the same side as you. But i guess if they aren't that new it would be impossible to get a replacement.
