For all you guys with engine conversions in your car, what Insurance company are you using?
What is the cheapest company out there for comprehensive insurance?

I rang AAMI who I am insured with now and they said 'if the car had an engine conversion we would not insure it'.So obviosly many company's don't.
She suggested Just cars,I know they are expensive,so I want to see what you guys recommend are the best/cheapest company?

Cheers!

I'm with Lumley (http://www.lsvinsurance.com.au/).

$900 a year,
Unlimited legal mods,
$300 excess,
Agreed value.

Great company to deal with, much like Shannons.
Gotta be over 25 and parked off the street at night though.

they no longer do it.. their reasons are - loss too much money, etc...

Just car won't even give me a quote until they have photo's of the conversion. They will only give me market value,9k.

wuts ur car? and yes u will need to provide pics and ask for the agreed value on the net.. i think.. then call them..

most of the product specialist .. have mods car as well so they know and should be easy to deal wif.. btw some are ozhondas members as well..

as long as u speak nicely and make you request.. they should help you out..
make sure u speak to the product specialist guys.. coz they know their shitt.. and easy to deal
