Hi Guys!

I picked my Euro up yesterday, it's a n 06 Luxury Graphite.... i'll post some pics soon......

Right now, it's absolutely standard and i wanted some suggestions on some of the first more basic mods that can be done?

I do also have some rather noob questions......

I want to replace my rear numberplate lights with white LED's, but have no idea how to remove the covers.... normally there's two screws but it looks like i'm meant to slide across... however it doesn't want to budge....

I also want to put white LED's in the front map lights, but have no idea how to get to them.........

And finally, how hard is it to get to the parker bulbs in the headlights, i've had a look and it looks like i'll need to hire an 8 year old Japanese girl with stunted growth to get to them?

Thanks for any help for my questions or cool ideas for mads you guys have!

heyhey, congrats on the purchase :) pics!

as far as mods go, it depends on what you're after. looks (exterior/interior), performance?

if its for performance, intake and headers would probably be the best bfyb unless you've got a stackload of cash for transmission mods.

for the map lights, you need to pry the clear plastic out. i'm not sure whether you need any tools, from memory maybe a screwdriver with some cloth over the tip so you can get leverage? do a search

with the parker lights, you need to turn your front wheels to full lock in the OPPOSITE direction of the parker you want to change. then, undo the clips/screws that hold the fender thingy under the guard and peel it back (at the front). reach in through the gap and you'll be able to reach the parker which needs a simple half turn and pull (bayonet style) to bring it out.

have a search on the accord euro forum on these topics, there's HEAPS of info.

enjoy the car!

hey mate, congrats on your purchase.
with your questions, im assuming you didnt get a manual (if you did then look up 'replacing light bulbs in the glossary')

if not, with the light bulbs (size t10 from memory) for your plates put a cloth over a flathead screwdriver and 'pry' the holder (theres 4 clips seperated evenly) and then use your flathead screw driver to pry out the light bulb holder.

as for your map lights use a cloth and flathead and pry the case open and you simply change the bulb. (this has been covered before, try searching dome lights in the euro section)
and for the parkers, you need to turn the steering wheel completey to one side (if you wanted to change your left light first then turn your steering wheel fully right) and then you need to remove the plastic fender by unscrewing a few screws and unclipping some clips. once you have done that pull the fender downwards, it will feel like you will break it but pull until you can fit your hand in there. from there you put your hands in towards where your parkers are and you will feel the parker light which you will need to turn anti clockwise and pull it out through the fender and simply change the bulb.

Thanks heaps guys! Yeah i did get a manual, just didn't think to look in there... I'm sure it would have the info, it's thick enough!

I got the euro from Eastern Honda, so 3 yr warranty etc.... just been out driving all evening... still loving it!

I'm going to do the LED replacing tomorrow, and hopefully do a paintclean and a wax and polish.... Took it to the carwash tonight and gave it the inaugural first wash, and grabbed some leather conditioning foam today which i also used.....

Once again, thanks for the advise... very much appreciated! And if you have any more ideas about some smaller mods before i get into the big stuff let me know!

EDIT: I'll get some pics up tommorrow

I tried searching 'mp3' and narrowing down to just the euro forums and i got nothing......

Quick question, i want to burn so CDs for my euro, but i'm not sure if the CD player will play mp3 CDs?

Also, what kind of globes to my foglights take? I want to do them now so they are more whitish blue....

Thanks for the advise on my OP by the way, i now have LED's in my parkers, numberplate highlighers and all my dome lights...

the euro's cd player won't play mp3 cds. there's an optional extra mp3 cd player which goes into the cubbyhole space under the headunit. you're better off getting a usb /ipod integration kit. i have the mp3 cd option thing in my car, but i'm probably going to get rid of it. let me know if you want it.

the foglights take H11 globes, but with modification you can fit brighter and usually whiter H9 globes. follow yfin's diy:

all this stuff is searchable btw :)
