I'm not overly concerned about this or anything, but I was just curious if it's just my car.
When I turn the A/C on, I can feel some vibration coming through the accelerator pedal. Do you guys get it too?
I've never had this with any other car before, so why does this car do that?

I suppose it has to do with under-bonnet vibrations, but I guess it is just means the throttle cable must run near one of the AC pipes against the firewall....

As for another Euro doing it - never driven one myself so can't comment on that, but I have driven other cars that do it - namely FWDs with clockwise engines though....

As far as I know, there is no throttle cable in the Euro because it has electronic throttle.
Also, it only does it briefly when I turn the A/C on.

yes mine does it.
Very noticable, but not to much to worry about me thinks.

One thing that I noticed, and i may have to be corrected, is that yes the euro is "drive by wire" but there is still a conventional throttle cable from the back of the acc. pedal that goes into a black box under the bonnet.

So the drive by wire bit is from that box to the throttle, rather than normal throttle cable straight to throttle.

Can anyone confirm this, cause thats the way I followed my cable?

yeah your right there is no throttle cable on the Euro's. its probably just the compressor working hard making a vibration. iv only seen this with pooly tuned cars or overfilled aircon systems.

yeah I get this too. It might have something to do with the car compensating for the extra power required for the a/c??

eurotrash is correct.

engnine compensate a little when first strart up the a/c compressor.

that conventional throttle cable thing is the cruise control box.

I don't get this vibration, my aircon stays on all the time. No kicking in and out up here!

What are you talking about?
No one said their A/C turns on and off all by itself.

What are you talking about?
No one said their A/C turns on and off all by itself. Didn't you say that when you turn your airconditioner on you get vibrations through your accelerator pedal?

I said nothing about A/C turns on and off all by itself. I'm refering to auto adjust "climate control". Did you get some sort of different euro to all of us?

What are you saying here then? It says your aircon stays on all the time, which implies mine doesn't.
"No kicking in and out up here" implies that my a/c kicks in and out all by itself.

Once again, I don't understand what you are saying here.
What I said isn't very difficult to understand.
I just get slight vibration in the pedal the moment I turn on the a/c.
So what is all this "auto adjust climate control" etc.... ?

I confirm that there is a slight vibration on the acc pedal when turning on the a/c. Happens to my car all the time.

He'd still have to turn it on first, won't he?

not really, if you don't turn off the a/c when u turn off the engine the a/c will stay on next time when u start the engine up

I see. I never do that even in summer. I always turn everything off before switching off ignition. I read somewhere that it puts more stress on the a/c compressor if you don't do that or something.

i also get this vibration when A/C is turned on <-- when it is running for the first 10 minutes it gives vibration everytime the compressor kick in.

But after a highway cruise it stop doing that <-- probably i was only using heater.

Mine does it too, but only for the first couple seconds then it's ok. I little annoying but I have my climate control on most of the time anyway cause the car gets too stuffy otherwise.
