Hey people, I'm in the process of getting a CTR rear lip fitted on my EK4, problem is it does not clear the exhaust tip. I have a Spoon N1 muffler, so its not overly big.
anyone have experience with this or any solutions? so far all i can think of are longer exhaust bushes, but its hard to find appropriate ones.

exhaust shop and get them to put new hangers on the muffler.
or
cut the lip.

how much lower would it need to sit to clear the lip?... when i had mine, the lip melted over the exhaust, it didn't stick or anything... when i went to the exhaust shop, he just told me it'd be better to pull the exhaust down, then wedge some bits of wood or something durable in the hangers to extend them... but i was obviously too lazy...

you can see the mould it created:

i need at least 1 inch i reckon, to avoid any melting problems.

All i did was change the rubber mounts to larger ones. You dont want to cut ur spoon hangers off

The ones i used were from a ford falcon i think. Pretty sure all exhaust shops should have these.
