I personally like Larke Hoskins in roseberry? not too bad, just a bit out from the main city, 30 mins walk :p which i found out later they had a bus service.
not too fond of scotts in artarmon, and Eastwood Honda isn't bad either.
Service up in Crawford? Brookvale Honda isn't bad either, but a bit far out.
my 2 cents worth before i sleep :p

i think you would be amongst the very few people who have anything positive to say about LH Rosebury....
Personally I find Rick Damelian in Leichhardt to be amoungst the best dealership in terms of service. But they do charge an arm and a leg for their labour rates, just so they can cover their expenses like maintaining their marble floor polish, coffee machine, leather suites and gym...
Otherwise Peter Warren's down in Warrick Farm also have very good service, with relatively resonable pricing. But they are so far away from where i live.

Larke Hoskins salepersons there did not give me a good impression, didn't even want to let me bargain and told me that is THE price. Haha. I took my business to Rick Damelian. The took the car price down, put in fitted mats, fitted mud guards and put it on the road at RRP. Comes standard with white number plates too. Did my 1st service, told them I was waiting and they did the job straight away. Had my breakfast at the cafe downstairs (called "Rick's") and then went to use their internet service for the next 1.5 hours. Hehe. They may be expensive, but they make sure that the customer feels satisfied, even AFTER buying the car!

Rick is good...i agree with most of the service...but they unbolted a screw to check something and forgot to put it back...only noticed after i saw the car from afar and there was this plate sticking out....
I told them that they left out the screw at my second service and the rude dude went off at me...so i went back off at him...poor service on that part, but yeah Rick's staff are mostly very very pro and nice...
Furthermore, the chic who works for alfa finance in rick is damn hot!! :D

yeah when i was listening i heard rick was pretty good, i passed by once.
I got my car through a consultancy, who would go and find me the best price. And that place turned out to be Larke, so i went there for my first service for the car, and the particular guy i dealt with was good, as well as a few enquiries i made with them calling back promptly gave me a good impression.
I guess dealing with them is another story.
I nearly purchased by car from Col Crawford - tho i was looking at the Integra Type R then, and the guy just didn't push as far as i knew he could've, and Honda Hornsby was too persistent in calls bothering me every day - that's not cool, just turns you off.

Oooo touchy subject for me.
As I have stated before, Scotts Honda - stay the f**k away from them.
Rude and unprofessional. I received a reply to a fairly lengthly complaint letter from one of the guys I was complaining about (General Manager of Service) yet he didnt comment on an offending comment he made to me. I addressed it to the owner of Scotts mind you.
I am taking it up with Honda Head Office again as I am not happy.
Larke Hoskins were so so. I was trying 2 bargain a 2nd hand s2k. They didn't budge much.
I know the Assistant Manager at Warwick Farm. When I got warranty work done there, they called me constantly with updates.

Hehe, I called Rick Damelian (RD) at first. The sales manager there told me a great offer. He said to go there and they would discuss the final price. I told Larke Hoskins (LH) about the price, the sales person said that is too cheap. No way I could get it. I told him that's the truth, that RD told me over the phone and to go there. So the LH guy told me, get the quote on paper and he'll beat the price. He kept stressing that he would beat the RD price. Well, then LH guy told me, tell the RD guy that your boss wants a quote so that I could get the official final price on paper. This set off alarms in my head as he was asking me to mislead/lie to RD just so that he could get my business. Also, he was thinking that I was bluffing on the price and wanted to call my supposed bluff. I went to RD, they gave me the great price that I was told over the phone. And this was final, papers were in front of me to sign. So it was no scam.
The next week, LH guy called me. I said, I could not get the quote on paper. He said "Yeah, I knew that you wouldn't be able to". Man, that PISSED me off! This guy purposely sent me on a wild goose chase! Oh well, payback came when he said to come in and he'll negotiate a price, I told him I already bought it at that price that he didn't want to give me. He said "What? Didn't you want to shop around more?". I said told him that I had already stated the price and he did not even want to give me a glimmer of hope. RD on the other hand had the car (August build, Sept compliance), had the offer and was ready to go. This all happened at the end of Sept, so the car was not sitting on the car hold for ages, it was a fresh car.

very interesting story aaronng:)...
one of the guys at LH is overly stubborn, and wouldn't budge at all when we were on the market for a car. we went to RD to test drive, and the service was very professional (no complaints there), however we went to CC (Col Crawford) and they gave us such a good deal we just bought it without revisiting RD to discuss a final price...

Metallic interior on a Euro Luxury is yum! That was the biggest turn off for me on the Luxury. The 2nd was that I did not need the features on the Luxury. hehe. But you got a nice deal too.

I went to Rick Damelian and the guy downright refused to negotiate on the sticker price. He also told me that if I could get a good price at some other dealer, that they'd just keep shoving me at the back of a queue because the euros were in such high demand and there was stock shortage. This was back in april/may. He even refused to guarantee the colour I would get.
I walked away from it all, he said that I'd be back after finding the same story from other dealers. I was passing by Col Crawford so I went in to have a look. The guy was very willing to negotiate and was surprised by RD's tactics. They explained the basic process to me with regards to putting down a deposit and that was it, no queue shuffling nonsense. Only had to wait a month for my car after that.

Well... hate to come to the defence of Car Sales person, but coming from a sales background a lifetime ago I can understand why sometimes sales just couldn't be bothered.
You spend a whole afternoon chatting to a guy who obviously is interested in the car, took him and his best mate on a test drive, explain every feature and options on the car, organised a good price on it, haggle haggle haggle... He said he'll think about it....
And then that guy will go to the other 12 metro Honda dealers, plus a few other provincial dealers haggling the price based on the price you gave him...
And then he'll turn around back to you because you are the closest dealer to his home with a price that will allow you next to no profit/commission...
I guess for the sales it is really discouraging to be competing for your business purely on price since providing good service means nothing- i.e. you will only buy from the dealer with the cheapest price, sometimes regardless of the service....
But then again there are 2 sides of the coin, and there will be thousand of stories where buyers were screwed big time by dealers....
Thats why Merc customers are happy customers- stocks are limited that dealers are reluctant to discount, and those that do discount would only discount it for minor amount (think 2%), but have such long waiting list that customers would be buying from another dealer with stock.

Damn you got a D***head salesperson. Mine started with the full on $34250 RRP+3250 price. Said that it is selling great and such. I told him I wanted $33000 OTR. He said "$33000 is cheaper than the demo models we are selling". I said " I don't want a demo model. I want a brand new one at a price that I am happy with. Do you have a manual for a test drive?". After test driving I said "If you can give me a price that I am happy with, I'll sign today. Going to other dealers to price match is troublesome". We sat down and got all the details and accessories down on paper, we negotiated and I settled for $34500 OTR. Once you show that you are serious, they will go down on the price.
