hi guys,

i've read the FAQ and fitment guide on OZH, but i want to know your opinion.

is a 16x7 +35 too low an offset for my EJ8? the car will be moderately dropped on Tein SS

i just want to make sure the offset isnt insanely low or the rim/tyre will stick outside the body. opinions??

looking at buddy club P1 (classic)

thanks!

+35 is not a low offset, its pretty standard. shouldnt have any problems.

I had 16x7+38 and it start rub on the fender. So i am wondering +35 would be slightly more. But you can roll and flare the guard. not a big pro.

Even stock rim size will scrubb if you go low enough.

its just about getting it right.

only trial and error will get you your answer.

in saying that, 16x7 +35 is perfect imo.

depends on what tyres you run, if it will scrub or not

i just installed 16x7 + 35 with 205/45. my car is pretty low so when i test fitted 1 of the rear wheels it was definately gonna scrub if i hit a bump so i went and got all 4 guards rolled. not sure if i definately needed it for the front but i used to scrub on my old wheels on full lock (15x6.5 +38 195/55)

Im got 17's 205/45 dropped by 2" doesnt scrub at all. Right tyre profile will help.

i got 16x7 +33 on Buddy N+ it scrub pretty bad when u have a couple of Pumbas in the back or going over a speed bum without slow right down to 5 or 10k.

+35 with relatively a 0 finger gap all round will look pretty flush and perfect.
I have +42, kinda wish it was +35 now though. 35-42 is quite a safe offset range.
Then again it all comes down to ride height, as bludger mentioned.

i want to put Kumho KU36 however their only 16'' profile is 215/45/16

has anyone tried running these tyres on a civic? i wanted 205/45 but they just dont do it in that size..hmm..
