Just took my car to get it lowered. I got a 99 civic Hatch back ek. anyways, take it there they put on king spring super low 2inch lowering. Anyways after everything was said and done my car only ended up being 30 mm lower. I have 16's (they came with the car) on low profiles. Me and the store owner were puzzled at how high the car remained after everything was done. Tommorow arvo we are trying a different set of springs. Anyways just wanting to know if anyone had come across this problem before? any advice?
any help would be really greatful. thank you

it will be lower after 2weeks or so inc. drving. so wait 1 week, align it and wait another week and it should be low.

Fronts, (guestimating) id say there was atleast a 50mm drop..
before i could stick 2 fingers inbetween, now it feels its about 2 fingers length below the guard... so id say ATLEAST 50mm

Rears about 40mm but may not have settled

yeah it was pretty funny. the owner good guy. actually rang king springs and gave them all the right numbers and they claimed they were the right springs. anyways. yeah i hope they will settle.

Do you guys trim your bumpstops if you have Konis with these springs? I can't adjust mine to go that low or I ride the stops all the time.

Attack them with a sharp knife!

Have a read of this page, it explains things well:

Maybe something like this will help:

What do you think? I'm sure Super Pro or Whiteline would make something like this.

long afternoon. Still problems anyways. we took off the new king springs and put some used king spring super lows already fitted onto a shock (same shock as i had before). Nothing happened at all saw no drop in height. Anyways took off that and replaced it with blitz springs. anyways with the blitz it dropped considerable height but not what expected it to be. It will do for now. Really happy with the springs handles corners much better. Better then i feel the kings did. But the quiery is why hasnt my car dropped as much as suspected. Has anyone expierenced this problem before. I didnt think my car was that special.

Can you post some pictures, perhaps? It'll be easier to see, then maybe we can offer some advice.

Try going for a drive with the car full, and the boot full... even have afew people bouncing in the boot will help settle the springs...

And i dont suggest having to trim your bumpstops, their there for a reason, and removing them will only damage your car suspension setup and even your spinal cord...

Iv been through heaps of springs, and had many cars lowered, and every spring has sagged, even the ones that said no sagging...

If they seriously dont sagg after a week or 2, just get the compressed abit..
