i see hardparked more as people who spend uber dollars on mods to make their car go faster at the track, so coilovers, stripped out, cage, buckets, harness motor etc etc, then never ever hit the track.

and just doing it for show
form over function?

i thought it was when the only spot left in a car park was between a landcruiser and an xtrail and parking on the street costs $300/hr

form over function?
I'd say form over function is rice.
Hard parked cars have really good race bred parts, but never see the track.

I'm a bit of a hard parker lol. but thats because i want to have this car for a long long time. not because I want the wank factor of all my rare parts. (which aren't that many). Its going to be a rare item one day and i want it to be mint.
I think its about preservance & priorities more than anything. People who want to have a well built car, but still want to spend money on other, more important things. You can't neccessarily spend bucket loads on a car continuily when you want to pay off a house/bring up kids/look after your wife etc.
I'm all for it, i'd rather see mint rides with rare parts then cars that look like unroadworthy buckets of crap that aren't maintained appropriately.
And if you have the time and money to continually modify your car + race + maintain + do all the other things in life then  to you. I'm sure theres people out there that would like to do it to.
