Will dc2r injen intake fit eg civic?

hey guys interested in an injen intake from dc2r, although i heard it will fit but needs modification!?
Can anyone help me if they know what needs to be done before i buy it because i heard it wont fit without modding it...
Also if the end result will be clean and firm?
I cant try it on so yeah.. Any help is much appreciated

Better of getting the EK one as it goes directly into the hole in the chasis whereas the dc2 one sort of tucks underneath.

only need to modify/ cut the splash guards from what I remember on my friends EG.
