What is the position of the alternator adjustment bolt when a new oem alternator belt has installed? Shall it be middle of the bracket? If the bolt is already in the tightest position as in far right, but the belt is still a bit loose does this indicate the belt needed to be changed?

Its more of a belt tension issue rather than
where the bolt is. You can't have too much freeplay
in the belt, but the belt cannot be too tight either.
There should be specs on the workshop manual
as to how much free play, but going by feel is usually ok.

Yeh, i understand. Isn't the alternator belt tension is being adjust by using that bolt. Secondly, I tighten it to to far right, so it means I cant tighten it anymore with the adjustment bolt, however the old belt tension is just right. Does this mean that i should change the belt in the near future

obviously the new belt is the wrong size,it should be fractionally tighter than the old belt.
