Guys thinking of getting a cable for my car, so that i can either plug in my iPhone and iPod.
What is the cable called??

3.5mm male to male audio cable?

plugs into the AUX port.

yup its a 3.5mm cable for the aux port... not a "ipod/iphone" one.. its generic as u can plug anything in that outputs using 3.5mm cable

if ur talkin about chargers, then anything htat plugs into cigarette lighter, just make sure its iphone and ipod touch compatible as they have some sorta special protection that u cant charge using generic usb chargers.... like my old one can charge my ipod video but not my ipod touch

i thought for a second u were telling us u could actually get the an 'ipod' connector into stock/factory HU hehe

You can if you go aftermarket. Search for my thread on the Dension Ice Link if you're interested in full iPod control through stock HU/steering wheel controls, etc..

yeah i know certain aftermarket head-units offer ipod connectivity but would be cool if theere was a simple way to integrate it into factory HU =] mainly being able to change songs through the head-unit and not having to use the actual ipod is what i want

Ipod dice link its the best, i got one installed on my civic, all controlled via the buttons on my Head unit and on the steering wheel. i got a new set up for sale. please see your PM

Ok finally got the cable, plug it in the AUX port on my Civic, it detected on the dashboard radio/cd screen but then there is no music ??? Yes i try to press the "play" button on my ipod without any luck!

Derrick I had that same problem, I think you've just got to turn up the volume on the headunit and play around with the volume on your iPod as well
