Heatgun and modify a polyurethane lip from a civic?
Would have nicer lines than lawn edging.

Why do I get the feeling that, that someone youre talking about was me?

lol.

Bunnings have a DIY fibreglass kit.
You can ebay it too.
Youll need the resin kit, fibreglass mat/cloth or whatever its called (basically the raw material).
Metal wires.
Glue gun, or welder.
Dust mask.
Sander.
Long sleeve shirt and long pants.
Bog or putty mould or something like that.

Run a long metal wire on the front of your bumper on where you want your lip to sit. Glue the ends so it stays on there.
Design your lip using other wires, glue em on.
Take it off the bumper. Lay fibreglass around the design.
Add 2 or 3 layers. This takes a few hours.

Sand it down like crafting a sculpture after its dry.
Youll need from 400-2000 or something grit paper.

Paint it and off you go.

Youll end up with a stronger lip than ABS or polyurethane.
But fibreglass has its pros and cons.
Its stronger than ABS and polyurethane, but it still can crack, unlike polyurethane, however does take some beating for it to crack.

I made 2 layers of fibreglass in a semi circle shape. Stomped on it and it didnt break.

Write up a DIY if you choose to make it =]

Find someone with an EM1 and measure the rear lip? See if it might be able to be modified

Alternatively JDMshit.com (http://jdmshit.com/specials/index.html) in the states sells front and rear lips for your model.

I bought my polyurethane lip from them last year for about $270 to my door.

You'd have to email them for an accurate price but about this time last year it was $70 shipping for my lip. Was folded over in a smallish box as it's polyurethane though. ABS will need a bigger box but it shouldn't be too much more.

if u wanna ruin the look of your car ...
go for pop rivots ...
i seen that at tafe ...
u dont understand how long i laughed for ...
think about it this way
u can lower ur car to a point where the lip wont be necessary ...
