hey guys, ive got a aus spec B16a2 motor and it seems the vtec is not working
why i think it doesnt work? its because theres no crossover and theres no pull, its the same all the way..

i have a few ideas what to do, but before i do it, i wana make sure

check the vtec solinoid - NOT DONE
check oil level - DONE
check temperature leve -DONE
Check wiring- DONE

Please ,if anyone can help it would be a pleasure.. sorrry if theres a thread about this i just cant find it.... if so is it possible to link me the "D.I.Y THREAD OF CHECKING/FIXING/CHANGING THE VTEC SOLINOID

In the scenario that it's a solenoid issue, have a look at this which could possibly help you,
B16A solenoid thread (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53191&highlight=vtec+solenoid)

Good luck :)

You can wash your car LOL......

Otherwise you might have to follow those checking procedures. Otherwise take it to a mechanic and pay them.

did the VTEC work earlier but suddenly stop or did you buy the car like that?

If you just got the car maybe try remove the standard air box and replace it with an exposed filter, sometimes with the stock air box you can't hear VTEC engage when in fact it is.... btw i'm assuming your car is running stock air filter

Test Vtec solinoid with power probe & test wiring
Check vehicle speed sensor wiring to ECU
Check engine coolant temp sensor resistance & wiring (2 pin plug - single wire plug is for dash)
Check TPS resistance / output & wiring
