prob kick in about 5-6krpm or maybe even higher.

you may not get that much revving out of it. Its pretty big for a 1.8ltr

Prob better with a GT3071r

I would think that would be a bit big.

Have to agree with Limbo and suggest the GT3071R. I am looking at one of these (in a T28 housing, for bolt on convenience)
And I reckon it is just about the right size.

But hell, if you can get it cheap, why not get it on there and see what happens? You can always swap to the 30 at a later time...

for street use, it will be useless (my opinion)

im running gt3037s / gt3076r with 0.82 rear, external gate and full race tuned length manifiold and is prob a perfect street friendly combo and still pleanty of top end 4 some track work....

try looking at what others have been using, just coz u got the turbo cheap........ maybe buy the turbo cheap, sell it and make some money on it and then get what is best suited for ur application.

dont forget that ur manifold will play a big roll in how the power is delivered ;)

Yeh, depends on your setup. Its a big turbo and a big rear. My opinion its too big for street and stock motor. It would be great for a built motor though. I had a GT3037S with 1.06 rear on my stock ITR and it would start to boost at about 3.5k, but did not boost hard till 5k rpm.

on my b16 a GT2871 with an .86 rear reacts similar to your setup Deano.
Mine starts at about 3k but doesn't get full boost till like 4.8k

Friend has a gt35r but with .86 rear on his stock b16a and it gets 9psi before 5k.. But something in the GT30 size would be better. But the car is still very driveable..
