Which engine do you recommend to put in my Dc2 Vtir?
The H22a from JDM predule or B20 conversion?
Which will make more power?
And what is the cost involved with the conversion?

I would stick to the B-series. You already have a good platform to work from. Add a nice b20 bottom end with good headers, intake, exhaust and ECU tune. If budget permits add a final drive and a close gear set in the gearbox and you'll have a nice street package.

Im not a real fan of straight h22a conversion. H2B is another option but you can't retain a/c and p/s.

what sort of power would you be seeing with b18/20 combo? what sort of price would it be for the conversion?

It really depends on the combination of parts/ tunning - take a look at Toda Aust in the trader section - they currently have some pretty good engine packages including the b20.

none, creating a Frankenstein engine will result in a low to stroke ratio puttin more stress on the cylinder walls. stick to b18c2/c7

Are you talking about rod to stroke ratio?
Because a B18C Rod/Stroke Ratio is 1.58 - 1797cc (1.8L)
and a B20B8 Rod/Stoke Ratio is 1.54 - 1972cc (2.0L)
Wow then maybe i should swap my B20 bottom with a B16A so i can have a better rod/stroke ratio
B16A's - 1.73 Rod/Stroke Ratio - 1595cc (1.6L)

Theories aside,
Frank engines do work & can be made to be quite powerful & reliable.

I would go b20vtec as a h2b will require you to space your bonnet, which imo looks gay lol. I rather have parts that fit and look like it came out of the factory like that.

go with the b20 man.. u'll probbly make 120kw-130 with a goodstock setup. so wat i've read from alot of b20 threads.. but yeh tho h2b is a cheaper way of making 150kw stock rather than K20. a b20 is cheaper. plus there are alot of b series parts out there that are interchangeable. speially with the itr or ctr parts.
cheerz!..

b20 the way, you be looking at 120-125kw front wheels with simple mods, do it the right way the first time, and you wouldnt have to be spending so much!
