Have a drive of both and feel which you like best.

Sure, you can mold it into your own image regardless, but the feel is what you want driving it.

Lexus IS +: refinement, solidity, legendary after sales service, a whole league apart from other Japanese makes with its comes to quality of build and materials.

Lexus IS -: Rear legroom is rubbish for a 4-door, cosy but somewhat cramped interior.

Accord + : It's a Honda. This is a Honda forum. Errm, it's bigger than the Lexus IS.

Accord - : It's never ever going to be as refined as the Lexus no matter what you do.

Have you driven the Lexus yet? If you haven't go try it. It's a massive jump in refinement from other Japanese makes. If you've already driven it, well, then you'll already know.

the IS Sport i must admit is really nice, but the auto doesn't do it for me IMO, it has cool features, gps is annoying though, but to be honest, i'd rather a Audi or BMW, oh and plus the price tag for a IS250 Sport is pretty high, as i recall i think was $70-75K including all on road cost. Also leg room in the rear is crap all as dinorider said. So darn expensive

lexus has been away from toyota for yrs now, they used to be very interchangable

I quite like the new accord shape, was thinking of getting one for the next car actually as well, good deals atm :)

Two totally different cars. Accord seats 5 adults, IS250 seats 2 adults + 2 children. If you only need to seat 2 adults, go IS250. If you have to seat any adults in the rear, go Accord.

Thanks all,

Yeah we only need it for 2 adults, and a baby so size should be perfect.

Its pretty clear that the IS250 wins by a mile no questions asked,
Lexus really know how to build a car!

Make sure you measure the dimensions of the baby seat and compare it to the space available at the rear seats after you have adjusted both front seats to suit yourself and your wife. Very very important thing to do. Also, measure the boot to make sure that you are able to fit a folded baby pram in there. The IS250 has one of the smallest boots for a medium 4-door sedan.

yea my mate had a vx and it was hard pressed fitting the pram in it easily lol
whereas his laser hatch shits over it and its half the car in size :)

I never thought of that, Thanks aaronng I will test fit everything just to make sure,

The boot of my accord now only just closes with a pram in it.. hopefully it fits in a IS250
As my pram is one of those real chunky looking nice ones it takes up heaps of room.
