I'd seen them on ebay where you remove the current seat material (the furry covers) and they have step by step instructions to 'easily' put the new upholstery on. Has anyone done this? It specifies that it's not a seat cover but infact a DIY re-upholster job :)
(Thought it'd be pretty cool to have leather seats in a 99 Civic lulz)

I know a guy with a set in an MR2.
From memory it was easy enough.
I suggest getting a quote from a trimmer first.
Are you sure they are real leather?

Well at the end of the day how can you really be sure? :( They mention that the cheaper version is leather, but there is another expensive option that they say is 100% genuine leather - they also then say that there is no difference in quality/feel between the two (The $500 set and the $1500 genuine set). But yeah true, getting a professional quote would probably be a good idea too :)

I believe that place can install it for you for a ok price.
Ask them?
Some people I know who have them say its "easy as" some say "I wish I never did it"

They're in VIC - I'd have to find someone to do them in Syd if I did, good thing is though that they DO custom fit the leather seat upholstery for whatever model you have etc so there won't be any extra fabrics or lack there of and what not

I'd say the cheap ones are a leatherette type of product.
You could even get a quote from the trimmer just to fit them for you.
