hey ppls just wondering WTF wrong with my car, on warm up it idles fine but once she's warm it idles at about 1500ish to 2000ish ( i dont know to be exact but its high).. checked the vacuum lines and i saw no free ones :eek: what else could it be.. its the all and might duel carbi motor.. any inputs would be good..

hey norman,

have you tried adjusting your idle via the idle adjustment screw? Could have gone loose or something.

Check the fast idle / auto choke cuircuit.
This this the usual bugbear.

NB: It's probably cheaper to get another engine from the wrecker & replace whole engine than fix the carbs.

Had a simialr problem the choke component on the engine was jammed.

where can i find this?

Looking at the carbs from the fron of the car,
It's located on the right hand side (passenger side) of the pair of carbs.
On top toward the rear or entry of the carbs near the air filter base plate.

If it's not the auto choke... Bad news...
A fuel meiser carbie kit is approx $800...
It's a prick to do & you'll likley upset the "Prince of Darkness"
That black box of pure Evil located on the fire...
All vacuum lines lead to hell on that engine... LOL
