Hey guys
My car's LHS fender got swiped in a carpark today.. how marvelous!
Now bare metal is showing as the paint has cracked off
The dent isnt too bad but it just looks bad because of the paint gone
What should I do to prevent the metal from rusting etc in the mean time while I fix it later on?
Heres a pic for reference
cheers

poop happens..
touch paint it up for now..
Awesome gutter rashes !
spray wd-40 on it for now and maybe put some electrical tape over it till you spray the car.

wd-40 and a bandaid then buy a fail sticker to cover it up!

You can get a bottle of rust converter and primer, will keep it safe from the weather until then.

when i bought my car it had a dint and it was down to bare metal, not to mention it was starting to rust.
i googled it and i fixed up the dint with primer filler, lots of it:P and then i resprayed it with a can of touch up paint i bought from a wholesale paint shop.

that link is the best diy spraying demo i have found

Thanks mate.
I was thinking of doing filler.. but the dent is not that bad and I got the right colour coded paint for my car so I just sprayed primer then touch up paint over the top.. looks alright for the time being anyway.. its only an old car.. if it was a type r or something I would of been like ''ffff-uuuuu''

apparently if you go into a woolies carpark and just put a trolley against your car you go in buy something and go back outside to find you have a trolley against your car, and youre so stunned and annyed you go back in to the service desk and complain and then woolies pays for it :P

I doubt bro. and not willing to take the risk.
My mums car got taken out by a massive trolley from some stupid lady who just let it go down the hill.
The lady said ''talk to the supermarket its their problem''.. but the supermarket said they have nothng to do with the trolleys and its that ladies problem
Then I studied a bit of law at uni and yeh common sense prevails.. if your trolley is hit it is the persons fault who caused it, not the trolley supplier
