DC2R, considering its much newer.
I would go EF9 and slap in a b18CR !! w00t !
But EF9 are harder to get parts for so you have to take that into consideration.
DC2R for ease of modding and EF9 for rarity.

I would choose the dc2r, better in the long run. EF9 for the wank factor of having something rare.
Really up to you what your plans are.

Yeah... Right now i'm driving an ED6 which has been riced up but no Vtec.... And just crashed it recently but no right off yet.. Was planning for a dc2r for start of next year but i saw the ef9 on sale and wanted to get that and get all the stuff from my ed6 in there and really like the ed/ef... If not Fix the ed6 and get integra type R ... Don't really know what to do.

riced up in what way? jdm rice or wog rice? If you get an EF9 I reckon keep it genuine. otherwise no point of getting an EF9, might as well build up an ED civic.
IMO get a dc2r

dc2r ...
ofcourse dc2r!
dc2r would be easier to sell afterwards,
wouldn't wanna be trying to get a new car but can't sell the EF9 cause its probably going to be 20+ years. maybe.
if you do get either two of these cars, just dont rice it up. the factory parts that are on it should be kept as it, EF9 should be kept as is for rarity, you can consider stuff like rims, coilovers, exhaust etc...
as for DC2R, it is a type R so i wouldnt touch the body anyway, just do the usual rims and coilovers etc...
my vote is a DC2R, just for long term and reliability

Its a trick question.
Do you want nostalga or nostalga?
Regardless you will achieve it.
I would go the EF9 but then again I'm one who can tolerate a month of push starting my car because Alternators are hard to get/interchange.
It really depends on your tolerance levels and what you wish to achieve.

you can buy a aussie dc2r anyday of the week
you cannot buy a ef9 any time
you can buy a ef9 for around 10k
then drop another 10k to make it a very nice ride
as you would be spending around 20k for a nice dc2r

your standards are different to mine
so what if they look clean
more to a car than it been clean
as for resale values ef9's will continue to stay stable and go up as they are becoming more rare
as for dc2r any man and his dog can get one
most have been trashed and getting to the stage of need for repairs

Why has everyone brought AFTERMARKET support into it?
EF's are easy to have adapted too.
