have you installed the sway bar the right way round? you may have the sway bar up side down, and do you have an aftermarket exhaust? if so you have installed the sway bar the wrong way and have a aftermarket exhaust then it would be hitting the exhaust.

or just get under the car and see where it seems the sway bar is too close to. then post up here again.

im sure that its installed the right way round and had a check of it hitting something but nope.....cant see anything ...and no aftermarket exhaust either

poly bushes without proper grease will make a knock sound as they stick to a point then as they are forced to move make a knock sound as it breaks free to move. re grease and check that the bush is not squished too tight by the d bracket. if it is squished too tight simply put a washer or 2 to space it for more room

ok then, i have heard that at times the sway bar may hit the lca. i remember a member on here had the same problem, he later found out it was the sway bar hittin the lca. he put a rubber sleeve/hose over the part of the sway bar that was hittin the lca.

should be the bushes. lube it up

u will see marks if the lca was hitting the sway bar.

i remember installing the sway bar to tight with the bolts it creaked and knocked alot.

lube it up. and check the actual clearance between the lca and the rsb.

take a foto and post here.

i had a problem with my rsb hitting my lca.. but thats because the rear was too low.

are you using oem endlinks? make sure they are tight.. loose endlinks make knocking noise from my experience.

also check your trailing arm bushings. they might be worn out and create a clunk or knock noise. putting a swaybar might have aggravated it..

sorry to dig it up, i have similar issues.
just wanted to know a few things.
when you drive and go over bumps it makes a knocking noise, but if your car is parked and you decide to get in your car and jump up and down is it also suppose to make a noise?
because my car will make a knocking noise over tiniest of bumps and its getting worst, ive tried looking for everything but im about to give up
is there a place i can take it to that just specialises in suspension noises and broken bits?

I had the same problem with mine.

Make sure that it is as tight as possible every where.

My control arm was moving back and forth and making the noise.

My mechanic tightened the link i beleive using an alan key. Never had a problem since.

my lca are tight, the endlinks are tight, sway bar is tight, but not too tight, bushes are lubed. i cant wrap my head around it. the only thing i have left is that it is a shock absorber.
my left rear shock absorber was definitely gone 3-4 months ago but that only makes a noise over bigger bump sand ditches..
i suspect it could be my right rear one now, but its making noises which are different and occurs over every bump, even getting out of my driveway.
sometimes it just sound like the whole rear just made one big knock sound..

^ maybe the shock absorbers then.. but make sure all the bushings at the rear are all good.. doesnt matter if it's lubed.. make sure they are not shot or worn out.

best thing you can do is to put your car on a hoist so you can clearly see everything. small price to pay for peace of mind..

if its just started doing it with the instalation of the swaybar and brace then i'd still say it has to be related.

I initially thought it was my exhaust hitting it.

Other option is to take it all off :S : (

Must be some movement somewhere...

maybe your exhaust rubber hangers are too old. sag too much.

Check the swaybar is actually dead straight. It maybe ever so slightly left or right - this can be enough for it to touch over axle
Pipes , shock absorber etc

yeh i really got to put it on a hoist to see,
it wasnt making any noises before, it just started a couple days ago, and i installed the swaybar over a month ago.
another thing is, it happens on and off. like yesterday it was making alot of noise, today it didnt make any noise...
wtf!?!?

well, i gave the endlink was tightened, but i twisted the nut and bolt abit and guess what, the noise stopped.
i hope permanently, its a pain to get under the car...
