smell in the car

hey guys i know its kinda weird but ive got this smell in the car thatz really giving me the *hits.. ive tried ambi purr, al sorts of air freshener in the car vacuuming the car leaving the window open , lavender spray for odour but its seeems to not help at all...

any suggestions guys?

only had the car for 2 weeks and ever since it was like that.. thought it would of just went away by itself...

maybe its coming from your A/C vents? prolly from all those dirt and dust....have u tried changing the pollen filter?

hrmmm never thought about that.... where abouts is the pollen filter located?

and when u say a/c vents does it necessarily have to have the a/c on to have the smell cause mine even when its off...

LOL, dead rat?

prolly more like dead and dried up bacteria up in the filter somewhere LOL

the pollen filter is inside the heater box, it usually sits in the tray that can be pulled out off the box (behind the glovebox)

u can still smell it even when u didn't turn it on. sometimes thru the air outside that went pass thru the vents, but obviously u can smell more when u turn the A/C on

did u carry a battery in the boot by any chance? it could've been the battery water that leaked onto the carpets. i tried everything just like you but nothing took the smell away. i even left the doors open overnight in my garage! the smell was like catshit lol...

in the end my mate sprayed febreeze and the smell was GONE!!!

hahah today i took out the chairs and scrubed with carpet with all these cleaning *hit and hopefully it turns out all good cause atm the smell not there anymore :)
